Even though the newest foldable phones have barely hit the shelves, rumors about Samsung’s next big move with the Galaxy S27 series are already starting to surface. According to recent reports citing import and export data, the tech giant may be shifting its strategy to more closely mirror Apple’s approach by expanding its smartphone lineup. Instead of the traditional three model spread, Samsung appears to be working on four distinct devices under the internal project name Next Miracle. This would introduce a Galaxy S27 Pro into the mix, serving as a high end alternative for those who want professional grade features without committing to the massive size of an Ultra model.
The hardware upgrades seem focused heavily on optics across the board. While the base S27 and S27 plus models are expected to receive refreshed sensors for their primary fifty megapixel cameras, the Pro and Ultra versions are slated for even bigger leaps. Leaks suggest both top tier phones will utilize a sophisticated fifty megapixel ultrawide lens previously seen in the latest foldables, along with upgraded sixteen megapixel selfie cameras featuring autofocus. The Ultra will likely retain its crown as the photography powerhouse with its signature two hundred megapixel main sensor and multiple telephoto lenses.
Beyond the exterior specs, Samsung is looking to change how these phones hold power by introducing silicon carbon battery technology. This chemistry was recently debuted in the company’s folding line and offers potential improvements in efficiency and density. However, insiders warn that we should not expect a massive jump in total battery capacity just yet. There is also speculation that this new battery tech might not make it into every single model of the S27 family due to manufacturing costs, meaning budget conscious buyers might see different internals depending on which version they choose.
